If you'll permit a steer to that other site, I posted a list of my favorites and some other folks chimed in as well. Here's the link:

Also, here it is pasted in, for ease of those who'd prefer it that way!

From mid-August posting:

With the DVD release of Road to Roubaix due any day (I've pre-ordered and am anxiously awaiting its arrival, given the reviews), I thought it would be interesting to get folks' take on great cycling DVDs. I'm going to leave out the obvious WCP Race coverage ones, and list those unique ones that were (for the most part) special in my book. Most often, that means true behind-the-scenes looks that reveal nuanced details of life as a pro.

So, my list (in no particular order of preference):

The Road to Paris = 2001 US Postal Team coverage, including some monumental clips of Armstrong's reconnaissance climbs for that upcoming Tour. This was a great video!

Pro = documentary on the Philly USPRO Championships - great behind-the-scenes and interviews with emphasis on US domestic teams primarily. Really liked its coverage of all of the different teams and riders, and it does a great job of leading up to the big day in Philly. One of my favorites.

Hell on Wheels = excellent documentary on T-Mobile team for one of the Tours (I forget which one) - great focus on Zabel and the stresses/strains he endures, as well as his roomate and buddy Aldag.

The Quest = 2003 Giro coverage, focusing on Simoni and his Saeco team in great detail. Narrated by Phil Liggett, I liked it a lot.

Overcoming = Riis and the CSC team, with heavy emphasis on Riis' experience and stress in managing the team that season.

The Hard Road = follows a 1st year US pro team - this was OK, but not a favorite.

The Quest 2 = Saunier-Duval 2006 Tour team. I did NOT find this one very good - too much footage shot from within the DS's car, alongside the riders. Very little "in the bus" details.

Thoughts and reactions? I have not seen any of Scott Coady's films ("The Tour Baby," etc) yet, and wonder what others think of them? They sound like they are right in this particular genre.

Have you see Stars & Watercarriers? The Greatest Show on Earth? About the 73 and 74 Giro respectively.

Just got it this week and it's worth watching.
Behind the scenes look at how the Athens Olympic mtn bike team was chosen.
It could use a little more race footage and I
wish they would have used Athens Olympic race footage
of the USA team.Copyright problems with the Olympics?

I see where Haywood, the second place female that didn't make the team, just won a 300,000.00 court case against
USCF for the bungling of the points situation regarding
the picking of the team.

Also have Hell On Wheels and it's mandatory.

first youtube has many old racing vids on the site: search Paris roubaix and sean kelly and watch some classic races.

also this guy on youtube "jazzukjazz" has posted all of Sunday in Hell in 11 parts for those who have never seen it. It is probably the best cycling movie/video of all time. here is the link to part 1 of 11

also:

-the 3 dvd set on the Coors Classic/Red Zinger
-Hardroad - really good, my second best fav after Sunday in Hell
-Pro (like the other guy said, really good, but I like Hard Road better)
-course in tete
-stars and water carriers
-1989 world championships
-1986 TDF
-for cx fans - Transition, transition2, and cyclofile - although I have all 3 I only really like "transition" the first one. the rest are sort of corny.
