I just had to bring this up now because it's the time of year that my favorite "awful" song is being played all the time. I know it's somewhere around the Britney Spears level of musical aptitude but I just get a big smile whenever I hear it.

What song or music do you delight in while hiding it from your friends because you know it will get you ridiculed?

Mine: The Waitresses, Christmas Wrapping.

Here's mine, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arUqoKjU3D4 Flame away. It's the sheffield brit thing.

Still sing it once in a while.

Even on the internet.web.net.orgs I won't admit to never flipping past The Bangles on the radio.

Jesus, Lord, please allow Susanna Hoffs to fit into my stocking or build a time machine and put me next to her circa 1990. I wept when they broke up. I'd listen to Susanna Hoff boil water, making coffee. Tell me what man can handle Susanna Hoffs' eyes at 2:48 of Walk Like an Egyptian?:

I hardly ever get to do group rides anymore, and this one might explain why:
rolling along setting tempo at the front of a group of three 2 season ago, I said, "you know it's bad when the song in your head for keeping a rhythm is the Wiggles."
at least it's better than Barney.

I never knew if I should actually admit to liking this one or not (especially in a public forum).

Oh well.....

Yes, it's on my iPod. I agree with Viper about S Hoffs/Bangles. "In My Room" could have easily been a proper young man's theme, but I'm a touch older than that. For me, it's still the feathered blonde hair that Olivia had in that dreadful movie. Thus the song.....

My wife downloaded Pump Up the Jam to Itunes and somehow it made its way onto my Ipod. I hate the song, but it made me laugh when it came on while I was running.

On the 'awesome' side, I also downloaded 'Generation X', as a shout out to my youth. Billy Idol absolutely sucks now, but when he was 18, he rocked out. I highly recommend everyone to spend the $10 on their eponymous CD for 15 rockin' amphetamine pop-punk training songs. Every song is great on that CD!

Nope. I've got it, too.

I have a playlist on my iPod called "Guilty Pleasures." Having a 10 and 7-year-old daughter, it includes some of their music, such as:

Lindsay Lohan, First (from the last Herbie movie...much innuendo)
Hillary Duff, Come Clean and Wake Up
Hannah Montana / Miley Cyrus (the girl CAN sing, unlike the prior two)
Bowling for Soup, 1985
The Ataris, Wake Up, Astoria

I also have William Shatner's most recent release, Has Been, which is AWESOME. I like ALL of it.

Under duress, like torture, I might admit that I didn't change the channel in the car when "Dancing Queen" came on.
Otherwise I'll never tell. ;)

I guess I am the only one that thinks that Karen Carpenter had a voice like gold. Then I have to listen to Van Morrison to make sure that I am OK.

I can pretty much sing the entire Slip of the Tongue album by Whitesnake having not listened to it in probably 16-17 years but can't remember a damn thing I paid to learn in college

Last week I was on a cold group ride when the lead rider warned us by calling out "ice! ice!" to which I immediately replied "Baby!" I would link to the appropriate Vanilla Ice You Tube link but work blocks that site.
