Okay, after having some e-mail communication with LH Thomson about their new Elite X2 stem, it appears that this will only be available in a 31.8mm clamp size. I was a little surprised by this, as the 26.0 clamp diameter still seems to be going strong.

So you do you guys/gals think? Is 26.0 dead? What do you plan for you next purchases? Fill out the poll and let's see what this small sample of riders think.

Edit: Sorry about the misspelled poll title, but I can't change it.

It stinks that everthing is going oversized. They amost all seem more heavy too. I dont need such a stiff front end I guess..

for a wider grip, and a nice firm cushion. Done it for years.

Hey shino, I'm with you on this one. It seems interesting that we are using carbon fiber forks to supposedly reduce the vibrations and road noise from being transmitted to our hands and body. So why would we want a super stiff handlebar? I can understand if you are some super Mario sprint monster, but for me and my 155lbs, I'll take something that is a bit more compliant.

Only use 31.8 cuz of the stem angle..86 degree...if deda offered the 26.0 newton in 86, I wouldn't have made the switch....

More surface area w/31.8 to better clamp carbon bars ;)
