Kevin Kelly of Whole Earth Review fame writes a nice blog on cool gear called Cool Tools. His recommendations are usually pretty interesting - reviewed and tested. Today he has a review of that NoTubes tire systeM:

Looks intriguing, even though I've long been dubious of anything involving tire goo. How's it look to you?

The NoTubes system works well. If you live in an area where there are lots of thorns or you want to run lot tire pressures where there are sharp edged rocks, you can take a half pound of rotating mass off you wheels at the rim, and markedly reduce the chances of a flat at the same time. The fiddle factor of dealing with the sealant is similar in my mind to gluing tubular tires, takes a little time to get used to it but then isn't a big thing. You can also put the sealing rim stip on a 700c rim and seal a road tire if you want.
