i test rode one of these today just to check out the bf competition. does not pack so well for travel, but a neatly designed folder for trunk or putting on that innercity commute train. check out the gallery for some dude-ed up versions. it pretty much rode like a real bike. unlike bf, xooter sells framesets that one could customize just for fun:

I'm a bit surprised that front chainring isn't bigger. Given the small size of the rear wheel you need either very small cogs in back or a big ring in front, otherwise the gearing is just too low.

so that might do the trick for higher gears.

Cool. Nice set-up.
I've spun around on a few folders. The tiny wheels are a bit tricky, handling-wise, at first.
