I figure something like 96% of all the bicycles on the roads of the world today have a 28.6 mm OD seat tube.

However, the good folk at Campagnolo have chosen to ignore this simple fact.

The Campagnolo front derailleur band in 28.6 mm is IMPOSSIBLE to find!!!

Why have the good folk in Vicenza forgotten us, the loyal Campagnolo camp followers???

Does anyone know where I can get a silver FD clamp band in 28.6??????????

Doesn't seem like that much to ask for .........

Maybe I should put it on my Christmas list?

Not a Hopemo!

At least not on this bike.

I have a bike that made the leapmo, I quite like it.

Just not for this bike.

If Dario had meant for Campy to be on it, he would have brazed on a hanger

That is NOT funny.

Your house(s) will be cursed for that.

Your beer will turn to salt.

The beer tastes just fine, thank you. I have a fire just about ready for a nice Porterhouse, and a pile of mushrooms set to go. I'm in shorts and a t-shirt.

Your lack of foresight shouldn't result in a curse on me ;)

I was sitting in a Partners' Meeting this morning, reviewing my appointment calendar for exactly that reason .................

Buy a Parlee braze on adapter and get a new FD.

I think with the dominance of aluminum and carbon fiber frames perhaps campagnolo didn't think the steel 28.6 front derailleur crowd was worth the effort. I would say maybe 15% of the road bicycles here use 28.6 mm OD seat tube.

Problem solvers makes a 28.6mm adapter and last week I bought a black anodized 28.6mm clamp adapter from LBS. I don't think it's as nice as campagnolo front derailleur clamp adapter. I think I would be content if campagnolo just mae a 28.6mm adapter but I won't hold my breathe on that one.

NO.

And if you lived where I do, it wouldn't mean anything to you either.

I have a Shimano 28.6 adapter clamp. I used it on a recent frame. And despite the very real possibility that my first shift would End All Life On Earth As We Know It, it worked with my Record front just fine.

Just to be safe, though, I have since sold the frame.

Every time you shifted, somewhere in the world, a cat died. Just so you know.
