I bought one (T1) for my wife from sierratradingpost.com a few months ago. It works great, very accurate, and durable. Haven't had any interference issues, or tracking of HR.

Also, own the X6 HR monitor, includes several other features....altimeter, compass, etc. Also, of excellent quality! Except it goes through a battery in about a year, but I suppose for as many functions it has, that's not so bad.

Overall Sunnto experience is very positive!

Not personal experience, yet people with whom I ride have commented the large format of Suunto watches makes them easy-to-read while riding.
I typically opt for 42mm-44mm watches for athletic use with good results.

They're sexy.

Search this section from about three months ago and I asked the very same question. Mine has worked great thus far. This weekend I got to see my heart rate skyrocket as I went trail running in the Alps - FUN!

I would do it if I was you. I have not used the Bike Pod, but assume it is fine too.

Cheers,

Darren

Thanks boys....I'm off to get one, as my Casio bought the farm.

We recently started carrying Suunto HR watches at the shop. Good feedback here to pass on to potential customers (since I don't own one). Thanks.

I've had a T4 for almost 2 years.
Works well, good info, reliable.
It's a great tool and a nice watch.
