$3000 is unlikely. I sold a 2 year old, newly rebuilt C-40 in 2004 with Record, Eurus wheels, Easton EC-90 bars, new tires, new saddle, new bar tape and new chain. There wasn't a single scratch on it and I got $3600 for it.

do an advanced search on ebay, for C40 completed listings only, and you will see what the selling price has been.

3k seems a bit steep.

In any case, I'd wait for the Dow to get above 10000... right now I think every market is shell-shocked.

For reference, I bought a used C-40 B-stay (No HP chainstays) off ebay for $900 frame and fork.
It was (is) in very good condition.

$3K seems a bit steep. I have a 2003 B-Stay C-40 that looks JUST like Dave's above (Rabobank paint). It has DA9, Ksyrium SLs, and carbon bar/stem on it. It's pretty close to mint condition and has been well-cared for. If I were to sell it, I think that $1500 would be a reasonable price. However, the bike rides great and I really don't see selling it unless it blows apart or a nice C-50 in the Navigators paint scheme were to come along.

Anyway, good luck with the sale. It sounds like a nice bike.
