While looking for new rims for a wheel build the product manager for Nimble wheels informed me that their factory in Austin had caught fire, http://www.nimble.net/ . so no production until they rebuild.

anybody have a suggestion for where i can get a lightweight, under 400g aluminum rim?

Sorry to hear about the fire. They are a group of good guys. I hope they get up and running quickly.

If anyone is in need of some Nimble Spiders I have a pair.

Jeremy at Alchemy built me a lovely pair of wheels using Alex Crostini 3.1 rims for my cross-country trip last year. The wheels, and particularly the rims, held up great and continue to do so. I've put at least 5000 miles on the wheels and the rims barely show any signs of wear on the brake surface.

Did you build them with Tune hubs?

Yep. Used the MIG70 (24h) front and the MAG190 (32h) and they weigh about 1370 grams built with CX-Ray spokes and forged alloy nipples.
