With all this tubular talk?

Just who among us that is not a current user is really going to get a set? I would love to try some- but I would want to do some serious miles on them before I commited to buying :)

Mr. Tall set me up with a rear tub wheel with a flip-flop hub for my fixed gear. I going to set up a front to match it and give the tubs a try. I have a few hubs lying around so I will build up a set on those. I'll let you know how it goes.

just ordered some hubs and rims to build up a set. I haven't used tubs since way back in the day. and this will be the first time to build a set of wheels. it just looks like a good project to undertake this winter.

Just go to your lbs and ask to borrow a used set. Chances are one of the more experienced employees probably owns a set. You'll either feel the difference right away, or you won't at all.

I bought the rims, hubs and spokes last spring...now all I need is time...

Actually, front wheel is laced and about 75% dished and tensioned...no ETA on the rear...

FWIW - Reflex rims, chorus hubs, DT Revolution spokes front, and non-drive rear, DT Competition spokes (2.0/1.8/2.0 ) drive side rear, brass nipples

I got back into tubs this year when I was restoring a mid-70's Raleigh Professional. I've since purchased a pair of Nimble Flys (Austin, TX) shod with TUFOs that I ride mostly on my C40. Love them.
