Does anyone have a good idea of whether one of these (the lever-end, specifically) can be rebuilt or fixed? I have one from an NOS front wheel that literally fell apart when I took it out of the box. It's a nice silver curvy one from about '01 or so. The lever just fell out of the end-knob, and for the life of me I can't see what, exactly, is supposed to be holding it in. Not sure if these things are fix-able or it it is toast. I'm guessing that I'm missing some esoteric little clip that makes the whole thing work.

Lots of shops seem to have spare rears for sale, but no fronts. Can you remove the skewer axle from a busted front and put it in a new rear (assuming the one I have can't be fixed).

Oh Tullio, where you when I need you...? Anyone got a spare?

The lever is attached, (held in place), with a very small "C" clip. You can find a schematic of the qr and the part number on the Campagnolo web-site.

Ta-da: From 2001 spares catalog

It's also easy enough to cut down and rethread a rear skewer, of course assuming you have the right tools.

These are my favorite QR's. Not light, but they sure do grip and are
internal cam.
