I'm looking to get two wristwatches cleaned and tuned. One is an automatic Rolex and another is a wind-up. I searched a few of the "Watch" discussion threads, but couldn't find much info about watch repair services. Does anyone have suggestions for a good service shop in the Southeast Michigan area?

Many thanks in advance!

Try asking on the Rolex forum on watchuseek.com. I check out the Seiko and Dive watch forums over there every now and again and there's a lot of information there.

I have been very satisfied with the work done by Back In Time, in Birmingham, MI.

They have overhauled my 30 year old Speedmaster, have done incredible restoration on the 30's Omega pocketwatch that my grandfather gave my dad, and most recently restored to working order my maternal grandfather's Pavel Bure, czarist army issue, pocketwatch.

For the Rolex you might want to try a Rolex authorized service center. They're pricey but the work is top notch. Here's the one I've used here in NorCal.

Take a visit over to TimeZone.com (http://www.TimeZone.com) for local guidance.

+1, if it's good enough for ATMO, it's good enough for me. Very fair prices.

There used to be some guys on the watchnut forums who offered services. But I don't recall which ones. My local ???eler is capable, but he works in a total mess-from-hell shop. I want my watch cleaned in a tidy environment.

What's the recommended interval for daily worn Seiko Divers?
