Great ride yesterday, good weather and the expected knock it out of the park organization and community support.

The police support for this ride is just unbelievable.

I saw quite a few Serottas there, a pretty group of bikes, especially the one with the DKS seat stays.

One rider on a bare Ti Davidson, nice old steel Pinarello.

A ton of Treks, Specializeds, Cannondale's etc ( why do they always make so much noise? How could someone not want their bikes to be quiet?)

I saw one rider on a Serotta, wearing a 7-11 jersey. Very nice.

I rode a steel De Rosa with tubulars, great bike.

Had fun, if any of the forum members were there riding - hope you had fun and good to "see" you.

That is TOO funny!

That was frightening fast , I do do it for fun ( helps explain my average speed which slightly slower than a speeding Banana Slug..........)

I saw those guys doing hill repeats up Shea the other day, I figured they were going to be looking for some fast times.

The most depressing aspect of the whole thing for me was the pink clad women's Tribe team who kept calling me ..................... "Sir".

I am really getting old it would seem.

Fun event.

Toomanybikes:

I was on the Serotta with the 7-11 jersey. Took my bike to the LBS after the ride to be sent to a Serotta for a repaint (damaged in shipping, no cost to me).

Were you on the Derosa I was drafting on between Rio Verde and Fountain Hills?

Saw one rider on a Richard Sachs with a full RS kit on. Do not see that often in the Southwest.

It was a great ride.

Probably not me,

I was riding with a fellow on a Pinarello down Dynamite. And then the pink clad ladies of the "Tribe" came along and swallowed us up.

My DR is red, there were 2 other steel De Rosa'a on the ride.

zMudshark was riding a Fuschia coloured one with tubulars and down tubes, about a size 54; Barry1021 was riding a Pearl white one, about a size 58.

It had to be b21, he punches a big hole in the wind!

Actually b21 is pretty darn fast on the flats, and improving all the time on the hills. He and 2Many are a blast to ride with.

I was on the fuscia De Rosa with down tube shifters, I only saw two othe r bikes with down tube's, one a beautiful Miele who I played tag with all day, and finished right in front of me.

It was my first TdS, but not the last.
