do you have hanging or laying around your house??

i just spent the evening trying to hang bikes in the garage
and was somewhat stunned to find
that i had nowhere near enough hooks to hang each wheel...
consequently i started counting them
(something that is really not in my nature to do)
including the bob trailer, the tandem bike, unicycle
and decorative bike on the front step
i have 33 wheels!

Which was of course way too many (and that number does not count my mtn bike--which only has its one set of wheels, nor my old tri bike 650 wheelset, which i keep in case i get back into triathlons). But, now down to 4, and that includes one set that is cracked both front and rear. and that is almost perfect, as i have 3 road bikes, but not really because one set is the same model as the cracked set, so i will not ride them--they are still new.

are any of your 33 aero carbon campy tubular :)

3 sets of mtb wheels
2 sets tubulars
1 set clinchers
I guess I COULD build up a bike for each pair.

Hmmm

7 sets of clinchers (3 carbon).
6 sets of tubulars (Edge, Zipp(3), Reynolds, Mavic and a single 808 Zipp rear.)
And a new set of polished low rims and bright polished hubs with gold nipples for a nice little classic bike on the way...

I think I have 3 700C frames, and 2 700C rear wheels. At least I have 3 front wheels (two of them with the Schmidt SON dynohub).

Guess I need to sell a frame ;)

I have two bikes but only one extra pair of wheels (Shimano R600) and one extra wheel for my trainer. If I wind up converting my Serotta to 10 speed, that pair will be used on it. I suppose it's better to use the extra pair than to have them hooked to the rafters in my garage though...

was going to laugh at the odd wheel count but realized I've got two sets of wheels without a frame lying around. I need a bigger house.

pair:

neutrons
nucleons (cross tubulars)
shamals
zondas
open pro's record hubs
fulcrum 7's
single speed wheels
ksyrium es

plus a set of silver record hubs and rims in my closet
plus a bonty race x lite front (for cross)

Wow! Thats way too many for one lil' shinomaster. I should have a yard sale.

2prs clincher PW/Velocity track on fixed gear frames
1pr clincher DA/OP on cross frame (been commuting)
1pr clincher Bonty Race X-Lite cross hanging free
3prs clincher DA/OP road on road frames
1pr tubular LW Standard on carbon rocket
1pr clincher Tune/Sapim/Alex hanging free (for incoming Llewellyn)
1pr clincher Eurus hanging free
1pr clincher Schmidt hanging free (for commutes and long brevets)
2pr clincher Tune/Bonty & Paul/Velocity MTB on frames
