How do you compensate? Saddle adjustment (up/down, right/left)? Shoe adjustment? Crank length adjustment? Some combination of all the above?

Thanks.

I guess it would depend on how much as all of us have one leg shorter than the other...

I use the LeMond wedge to build up my right side as its a bit shorter than my left...I can really feel the difference on rides longer than 30 mile.

Good luck,

Steve

PS: I am not sure if they are called The LeMond Wedge anymore, fyi.

If your femur is where one is shorter than the other, you are a bit stuck and should adjust your saddle to line up in the middle of the two. This is the approach that I believe most of the fitters use.

If it is your tibia, like mine is, then you should use the lemond wedges to build up the short side.

Find a really good fitter. They will help you find the right saddle height for the first condition. They will pay close attention to the point at which your hips start to rock.

Hope this helps.

I set my saddle height based on shorter leg. For me having the saddle slightly low for one leg is far better than having it too high for the other.
