The roads in good ole' Virginia were pretty wet this morning and it started misting half way during my ride. I got a Lanster a few weeks ago and I put fenders on it last week. I ride about a half mile on gravel before the pavement starts. On a day like today, that would mean I'd be covered with gritty grime, plus I'd feel like I had a teaspoon of sand with each waterbottle. This morning's ride was a whole new thing. Dry, easy to see, fresh water to drink, it was great! After the ride was even better. No dirt stripe up my back and no grit grinding into my saddle. I wasn't sure the fenders would make that big of a change, but I'm now a believer. This weekend, I'm going to trim the front fender to fit inside the fork better so that I will have a bit more room and a tighter fit to the back of the whel.
