I haven't run into a problem inflating dry tubeless hutchinsons, but you might want to try a more high volume pump (or compressor) so you can get enough air in there in one blast so the bead seals. Pump FAST! :p
the soapy water thing works for car tires, I've done that, so it might work for you on this also.
