Is there something wrong (different) with the inside chainring of this crankset?

This was taken from a link in the classifieds to a Spectrum To bike for sale on ebay.

I own a few (many) D/A cranksests and none of them look like this.

It's an after-market Rotor ring -- a slightly asymmetric ring that theoretically gives better efficiency.

Aftermarket elliptical chainring. All of those holes are for customizing where the axis of the ellipse is positioned in relation to the pedal stroke. I've never used them, but do know that they are expensive.
