I thought property damage would be covered separately from the reimbursement for "pain and suffering"? I was hit by an insured individual and his insurance cut me a check for the property damage to my bike as soon as I got them a replacement quote.

Why did you get a lawyer instead of trying to settle things yourself?

Copying & pasting interactions with your attorney online isn't suggested if you wish to retain confidentiality...
Good luck with your case and best wishes for a speedy and full recovery.

That applies to gov't operated buses. Municipal Liability laws. Greyhound et al could be held to more damages--but good grief man, damages are based on $$$ spent on INJURIES (except for punitives) and I'm hoping you're not hurt so bad.

First of all, I am saddened that you were hit. Secondly, I am grateful that you seem to not be horribly damaged. My wishes for a speedy recovery.

I wonder how my insurance claim will be handled. The dude that hit me has homeowners and is in fact, the same company (State Farm) that my husband and I have for our condo insurance...

You guys are so tough. I feel like a weenie when I read of your injuries.

Paulandmonster, you deserve a very good settlement for your injuries. Good luck!

I was hit while running a year and a half ago so I know how you feel. Get some good PT going when you can. Here's to a full recovery!
