Hi,

Has anyone purchased things from totalcycling.com ?

Did you have to pay a customs duty on it?

Thanks,
Tom

Bought a Centaur groupset from them in 2006. Went well. They forgot the front derailleur, but sent me one quickly. I didn't pay customs because I was in the UK at the time. I would use them again.

It's been a couple of years or so since I did, but I bought a few things from them and it all went fine. You can google the customs web site and check the tables, but the last I checked, there was no import duty charged on components/parts (although there was a duty on complete bikes and a lesser one on frames). There should be no VAT charged at their end either. I bought a couple of cassettes from another GB shop just a few weeks ago and there was no duty charged.

I got a pair of wheels from them a coupe of years ago. Things arrived no problems and I'm still riding on them.

I've made many purchases from them including shoes, tires, gruppo etc... All good experiences and never had to pay Customs duties.

Check out probikekit.com as well.

Never had any problems with Total, ProBikeKit, or Ribble to the US.
