Apparently available in lengths from 155m to 185mm. Should help those who need lengths not catered to by Shimano or Campagnolo.

Very pretty. Do you know what kind of BB it will take?

I'm curious how this is different from the Carmina. The shape of the arms looks quite similar...

It looks like a 4 sided taper deal in the photo. I might need a set of those.

It looks like the drive side arm and the spider are one piece instead of a separate spider. It also looks like the back of the arms are milled out a little more to save a few grams.

I was looking for info on their Web site (http://www.specialites-ta.com/produits/crank.htm#) to find out if the Vortex comes in silver. Didn't see anything about the Vortex but saw the Squale. I don't remember seeing that before. Interesting...

Nice find. Does not appear to be any information about it yet. Definitely worth keeping an eye out.

This is ugly, a poor Dura-Ace knockoff, and hard to keep clean. :argue:

There. I feel better.

I've found products from TA (including their cranks) to be of the highest quality. I won't argue aesthetics, although the Carmina is much nicer in person than in photos.

What makes a crank hard to keep clean?

WOO! I can get 177's & 180's AND they're square taper? Assuming they make a 130 bcd I'm sold.

Actually I just bought a Carmina myself, and it is very nice. It actually put the compact alloy campy on second row for my next built. It is the invisible chainring bolt setup that looks like a DA knockoff, and the multiple ridges in the ring openings will catch crud and be hard to clean.

Those ridges do look like a nightmare.

Cranks would be so much easier to clean if the chainrings didn't have teeth, and there was only one chainring, and if there weren't chains and front derailleurs! ;)

maybe we could come up with some sort of flexible shaft couplings and other power transmission components instead?

I think I know someone..... :D

This one (the vortex) has an integrated axle. If you want square taper, you could buy either a Vega or Carmina crankset. They are still making another model (Alize I think) which is just gorgeous, but I don't know if they are making it in all the lengths.
