I do not think so...If SRAM is doing ok financially they will be fine. (and I do not know how they are doing of the contractual terms of the agreement.)

SRAM does not need the money to operate, one presumes, but could use the money to expand even more (seems to have done well so far). Worst case the investment is not made and SRAM continues as it was. More likely case is the investment happens, if not exactly from that entity then from another, given the economics and motivations involved.
