My ride has got the rear brake housing from the lever to the brake with no breaks in between, NPI.

I am getting some binding, and before I regrease, I thought there may be a newer cable and housing option out there that some of you may be familiar with. Other than the standard stuff. My thought is that since is is so long I'll need some kevlar or some other type of after market product which may be a bit smoother.

Thanks.

Disconnect the cable from the brake and see if you still feel the friction, this way you can eliminate that it may be the brake itself causing the friction.
I just installed some Jagwire (Switch) on my Ottrott and have had no problems with it. Rbikes.com has some good prices.

I have this bike and the cable and housing runs internally the full length.

The first build was using some stock black (non sram red) cables...

I can say the difference between some stock cables and a good teflon sleeve and coated cable (these are Jagwire too) makes a substantial difference.
