The police found Chris' bike!!
It has not a scratch, complete, not even a flat tire!

Most likely the thief did not want to walk/take the bus down in the valley (10 miles downhill), and abandonned it at the train station.

I hope he lost his fertility on the carbon SLR...

Being half Swiss myself, growing up I always heard from my father that this kind of thing did not happen in Switzerland.

Nice to hear a happy ending!

I KNEW a bike could not be stolen in Switzerland! My confidence in the human race [qualification: only the Swiss, that is] is restored.

You can be sure had that happened here he would not have his bike back. Unless it was found by the police and confiscated as evidence because it was used as a weapon in a triple homicide.

Chris,

I'm glad it was found, now you can send it to me, since you
didn't anticipate getting it back. ;)

I guess the police were correct when saying that it was most likely some1 who took it to save them from a walk.

I never would have thought that kind of bike would reapear, esp without a scratch.

Makes me think about the 3 bikes i lost to thievs over the years, Congrats to a happy ending!

over at Sandy's. It's a bit pathetic, but it's the one way he can get me to come over to his house for a visit. I no longer get mad, i just eat all the cookies in his house, grab my wheels and leave him crying at the front door.

Are you saying, people tend to be more honest when everybody has a machine gun in their living room closet?
