It is nice to see steel still being offered under $1000. I liked the concept of the Salsa Casseroll but it was a little too utilitarian for me. I like the fact the Pistola can take 28c tires. Plat Ox is good tubing also. Off the top of my head, I can think of Soma Smoothie, Kona, Salsa, Gunnar and Curtlo as framesets under $1000.

Salsa must have an overstock of 400mm seatposts they are trying to get rid of. All of their new bikes have too much top tube slope for me.

nevermind - thought you meant they really did have a surplus of seatposts to sell. Too much coffee today .... :bike:
