Just bought a new Ritchey alloy seatpost painted in wet black. It goes in my Ti frame but I was wondering if it is still required to grease the seatpost before installing even though the seatpost is painted.

Personally, I anti-seize anything that sits against my ti frame.
2d for an anit-seize/carbon assembly compound like the one from Tacx as it will also allow for a little less torque..

I own that Tacx stuff but didn't know if it could be used in this instance with a painted seatpost against Ti.

I suspect that the 'wet black' look will be a transient trend, mostly out of speculation that the finish won't hold up that well. Though I can see the appeal as it looks pretty cool when new.
