View Full Version : Need some color - which red sidewall tire

I love my Naked Legend. It needs some color so I am thinking red derailleur and brake cables and red sidewall tires. What tires would you suggest? I am a recreational rider that weights 200 pounds. I have been riding Conti 3000, 4000, and 4000S and getting fairly good tread life (my current 4000S has 2,000 miles and the tread wear indicators are still visible but getting some squaring) and don't want to have to buy a new rear tire every 500 miles.

They don't get a lot of love, but I really like the Vittoria Rubino Pro, around $18.00 at PBK. I too have a plain Ti frame and have this tire in Red with red/black bar tape to add some color. They wear very well.

Thanks. What brand/color bar tape do you use? I am partial to the Fizik and it appears that is a good match for Serotta decals but am open to suggestions.

Panaracer Stradius Pro. Always on "Sale" at Performance bike and have a nice look to them. (Red Sidewalls)

For bar tape, look at the Stella Azzurra Eleganza tape in red or red/black or red/white--I have this on all my bikes and always get questions and compliments on it. It has a good "tacky" feel and is stitched like golf grip so it looks "elegant," just like its name.

Not a great picture but red Hudz on red Fizik tape with red Serotta logos. Didn't do red sidewalls. Yet.
