Cavendish left the TdF early, purportedly in order to rest for the Olympics, and Wiggins has already raced brilliantly in Beijing, winning two gold medals, so the British were the heavy favorites. Well, for once they didn't come through.

But aside from this event, the British have been unbelievable.

I haven't watched the sprint yet, but the way Hoy won the keirin, off the front, was pretty amazing.

What happened to Theo Bos? Is he injured?
