Anybody out there have experience with Fausto Coppi frames. Just acquired one built in early 90's by Masciaghi with Columbus Neuron Nivacrom tubing. Building it up with campy chorus components, fir wheelset, cinelli stem/bar. Thanks in advance.

I had a Coppi EL/OS for a while. Really nice riding frame, springy and stiff. I think about buying it back on a regular basis.

I will look and see if there are any specs on it in one of the older catalogs.

I have a very similar frame and fork same colours but mine is Genius tubing., built up with Dura Ace 7401 8 Speed.

It is a beautiful looking, and great riding bike.

The tubing is triple butted and light as a feather.

Smooth and silky riding bike.

Freakishly light.

All,
Thanks for the input. Will have it ready for Saturday and I'm looking forward to the maiden voyage! Full report to follow. Other bikes in the stable include a Colorado III and Look 585. Thinking about selling the Look and staying the world of "steel is real".

I have a Fausto Coppi Campionissimo frame that's probably a little older than yours - Columbus Thron tubing. Mine is that neon yellow and built with Campy C-Record.

It's my winter bike, and rides great - stable handling, real solid feel. Not the lightest bike on the planet, but then with my fitness and weight that doesn't really matter.

I think you'll love the ride.
