Is someone willing to post a photo of their SRAM equipped bike, taken directly from the front view?
I have just installed Rival on my ccx bike, and they angle out dramatically. I have a Salsa Bell Lap bar on it, which has an odd shape and might be contributing, but I don't think by much, because the bars seem pretty much perpendicular to the ground where the shifters attach.

It's the bar not the levers. A Bell Lap will greatly exaggerate the 'flair' of the SRAM levers on account of a 3cm bar flair.

SRAM levers do angle out. They swing in as the pivot. Very ergo.
They look a bit odd from the front compared to some others but they feel very natural to my hands.

For sure the SRAM levers angle out, I was making the point that the bar itself has exaggerated that...

but one of the pictures of my CSI shows the flare of the right lever on a Salsa Road Pro, the drops of which is pretty much perpendicular.

With the SRAM lever flair and the shape of the hood itself, you have some option on how you want to rotate/orient the hood on the bar itself. I find there isn't an exact "straight ahead" position for the SRAM brifter as there is with Shimano. At least that's what it seems like to me.
