i have seen superman. michael phelps is superman. in the 100 fly, he was losing until the final inch. oh my god. i don't think i've ever seen a more amazing finish. i'm in awe.

Wow!!!

That overhead slow-motion shot was amazing.

Apparently there's a protest of the result. Might be hard to argue that the touch pad was wrong.

He kept on swimming and the Serb (native Californian) was gliding. I'm rooting for his eighth gold and I don't even follow swimming. I guess the price of Wheaties will go up if he wins, though.

He got caught near the wall in the "dead zone" of a finish stroke. It's debatable whether or not another stroke would have won it for him.

Those electronic timers are basically faultless, and I believe they actually time to the .001ths but times are only posted to the .01ths.
