So, I'm wondering whether anyone here has gotten the phil DA-compatible bearings pressed into a DA bb (outboard, hollowtech, you know what I mean). I ask because I had a local shop do just that for me, but when I got them back I noticed that the black sleeve/covers that separate the crank from the bearing (and takes up the slop) on normal DA bb's hadn't been reinstalled on my phil-modified bb. I found out why this was the case when (after observing a considerable amount of slop in the cranks without the sleeves in place) I tried to pop them in and realized that 1) they don't really fit the phil's (too shallow for the phil's, I think) and 2) the crankshaft won't feed with the sleeves squeezed into the phil's.

Thoughts?

Any info to aid in my quest for a marginally smoother bottom bracket would be greatly appreciated. (can take pictures if my explanation is crap)
