I guess dbrk isn't the only one that likes pink cross bikes. Check out the image from the recent Interbike show...

Another fine looking female machine. This one belongs to the wife of one of the Rivendell guys.

Here is my contibution to the Parade of Pink. Excuse the bad pic and fuzzy manipulation of the decal...I was playing around with "what ifs..." regarding the decal color. They are white outlined in black.

Anyway. Pink rules.

You can't mention pink bikes without having at least one picture of the T-Mobile machines...

And this website, Pink Bike Sightings (http://www.girlbike.com/pinkbicycles.html), is out of control :D

Edit: There is even a line of Hello Kitty bikes :p

Just do a Google/Yahoo! image search on "ping bike" and you'll get plenty.

If I weren't so darn enamoured of the "Slurpie scheme" (ahhh...7/11), I would ask the Hampstens for a Maglia Rosa-colored bike 'cause pink bikes are so damn manly. The Gavia made that all very clear to any American who has ever ridden on two wheels. Yet pink bikes are also wonderfully womanly and I'd bet they are suited too for androgynes, hermaphrodites, and just about anyone...errrr...-thing as well. I like pink bikes almost as much as plain white with black decals. Special kudos to Matt for the exquisite Vanilla right down to the mudguards. Pink mudguards is an oxymoron one can only admire. And what without any NFL or NASCAR (I'm guessing about the latter...) examples for the red-meat-does-sports enthusiasts to imitate and so proclaim in Team Schwag their sartorial badges of identity, it is left for for the effete Euros and happy-and-secure-enough-to-so-gay-in-the-Fred-Astaire-sense American cyclists to give pink its due.

I have a long week of grading exams. I am sure that this post reveals just how painful that really is.
