Just won a set of wheels on eBay for $331. In my excitement i send my Paypal payment. Great it didn't hit my maximun, saved a little money i thought. so after the payment i notice there were some unread messages. A notice for an additonal 10% off coupon code good till July 29. Could of saved $33. unfortunetly i could not use it because i had already paid. stupid bastard......no eBay bless their hearts will not give you the discount after payment........ anybody know how to cancel a paypal payment? neither does their website nor does paypal. not the end of the world, except for when i'm short $33 bucks.

i had posted the code but it isn't transferrable so i removed it.

actually it's not transferable, just read the details.

You could always ask the seller to refund you your money. An email to the seller explaining the situation would be where I would start. Make sure that they use the refund link at the bottom of the transaction detail page, not just turn around and give you back the same amount. When they make the refund, it is like the transaction never occurred - ie, there are no fees for the seller. Then pay them again, using the code. As long as the seller will not be out any money, I would think that they would be all right doing this for you. As a seller on eBay, I certainly would...

Best of luck, I had Paypal send me a $750.00 credit coupon because of a dispute I had with a Seller - they told me that they valued me as a customer...come to find out I could not use it as my Paypal e-mail address was not the same as my E-bay address..and after walking me thru making the change in my e-mail address to make them the same and waiting 3 months of them telling me they would send me a replacement coupon, they told me they could not transfer theh coupon and I was out-of-luck.
So much for appericating me as a valued customer, I cancled my account on Paypal the next day.

I thought the 10% email was a spoof email, but was assurred by eBay it was legit, so I used it for my TomTom 930. Now, it shows up on eBay's site...I wonder if I can use it again?

call PAYPAL at 1-402-935-7733 or 1-402-935-2050 you'll get a recording when they ask for options say "representative" they'll put you through to a human. Have the coupon number and the eBay item number that you want the discount on. They were reasonable to me. Maybe lighting strikes twice........

I'm trying everything I can do, including links off a blog describing the various promos out there and I get nada. No green coupons for me, just the typical, boring ebay opener page.

Maybe because I buy on Ebay often?

I was undecided about a bike on Ebay but with the 10% discount the auction price becomes much more acceptable. I have been receiving the Ebay/Paypal discount notices all along. I just never connected the dots until I read this thread. Many Thanks!

I do not know how you get a coupon... After a few years of buying crap I received my first one last month. There has to be a trick to it or a method we do not know.
