New Ultegra?

During stage 1 of the Tour I noticed the Rabobank rider Posthuma had the new Shimano STI levers with the concealed cables. The levers were metal. Does anyone know if they were a prototype Ultegra or just an older Dura-Ace prototype still kicking from the Rabobank mechanics parts bin?

Or maybe they were the electronic components? I didn't check the cabling properly.
