My UT BB started to creak when climbing out of the saddle so I removed the cups, cleaned them, greased the threads, reinstalled to torque specs. All was fine until 50 miles later when they started creaking again. Since then I've tried thread locker (low and medium strength) to no avail. This crank set only has 2k miles on it!

Has anyone had the same problem as was able to solve the dreaded UT creak?

Campy instructions call for special loctite 222, but I just greased the threads and torqued to spec, which is on of the approved installation methods. The BB shell should be faced or checked for squareness with the threads and there should be no paint on the faces of the BB shell.

Are you greasing the inside of the cup and outside of the cartridge bearings? I'd grease any metal to metal contact area. Chainrings can also creak in the area of the mounting bolts, so apply some oil or spray lube to those areas.

I've got 1700 miles on mine with no problems at all.

I had this problem and it turned out to be a loose chainring bolt. Think simple stupid I guess.
