What a beauty! These are what Keith Bontrager did best, I think. Classic cross frames, so thoughtfully and intricately made in Santa Cruz with their cool gussets, lack of chainstay bridges, and fast geometry. Brent Steelman made the beautiful fork with classic KB minimal offset.
This one's been ridden but cared for. There are no dents, cracks, dings, or any structural issues. Chainstay has a little suck and some chain slap. Rear dropout spacing is 130mm. The top tube decal is coming off a little bit on the bottom edges and has a few nicks which I've tried to show in the pictures. Headset not included.
Serial number is 4751, size is medium. You can see the size charts here (http://ridesmarter.com/archives/frames/bci_info_source_010299/cross_specs.htm). A truly beautiful frame and fork. So nicely crafted it doesn’t get much better than this for 'cross. SOLD
