However, this time it's in Top Alcohol Funny Cars in the NHRA. The interviewer also stated in her intro, that Marty is currently training for Iron Man triathlons.

His was a name I never suspected to hear coming out of an auto racing venue. I guess the need for speed is never satiated. He looks fit, even inside a puffy, fire-proof suit. :D

Marty has been doing drag racing for a couple of years now. Art McHugh introduced him to it a number of years ago while he was still doing the Piste thing. He now is for real in the alcohol circuit. In fact, he is more bike fit than he has been for a couple of years. He won a Derby a couple of weeks back. And as we all know, the Derby has more prestige than those Olympic things any day. :p

You would think Marty's weight would slow him down in the racing
world...but I guess those dragsters are like 900 HP so a bit of
weight realy doesn't matter!

Glad to see you post Mr. Kellogg!
From time to time I'm in the Allentown/Trexlertown area and have to
think your barn might be just around the corner!

I recently had to go through Trexlertown and Fleetwood en route
to Lyon Station..pretty country and like most of Pa great cycling
lanes!
I love Carlisle.....there are some hills there I would love to spend
a lot of time on doing "sprint-repeats"!
Pa is just a great state for cycling...love the Berwick/Mifflinville
area as well.

Word on the street is they might place the U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame on the same grounds as the Valley Preferred Velodrome (literally moments from The Spectrum Cycles Barn) which would be sweet! :)
