hi. i have an original tmax that i still really like. rigid steel fork. xt 7 speed.
anyone have any opinions on this as a single speed ?
anyway to add disc brakes?

What dropouts has it got? If it has not got horizontal dropouts for the rear wheel you'll need a tensioner or a white industries eccentric hub to take up chain slack with the single speed.
Either way, why not?

I used to use tmax 400 and would rate it at different speeds and process it according. You would get good contrast if you pushed a stop or two but would risk losing shadow detail.
OOPS sorry thought it was a photography site.

markee, it has vertical dropouts.
fred, watch out for those chemicals, they cause brain damage.
