Anyone familiar with Atlanta here? I'm looking for a recommendation for a restaurant for an early dinner on a Saturday night in Atlanta, preferably within walking distance of the Georgian Terrace Hotel and the Fox Theatre. We'll only be there for one night, so I'm looking for good recommendations. We are generally open to most all cuisines.
Thanks, PaulE

Thanks. It looks really nice. I'm going to run it by the wife as the the trip is basically for me and she is being a great sport and joining me.

I don't know your exact location in Atlanta, but when I'm there: South City Kitchen is a must.

There's a place not far from the Georgian and the Fox called Repast, run by a chef couple, though it is driving distance.
For what you get, the prices are cheap and the chefs are actually in the restaurant cooking, rather than doing typical celebrity chef stuff. And they've got knock out service.

I'm not a local, but I have stopped in at this place a couple times. Seriously Yummy (pricey, but mmm good) excellent service and they dealt with my gluten free requirements very well...I don't know how it works with your "walking distance" request...

Been a few years, but when I lived in the ATL I considered Italian at LaGrotta (www.lagrottaatlanta.com) and Nino's (www.ninosatlanta.com) seriously on another level from most. Both in/near Buckhead. Google for location. Expand your walking distance with metro rail system.

I'll look them up. It definitely has to be walking distance though.

That means different things to different people...me? Under 2 miles is walking distance. Ymmv

Cha Gio is inexpensive but good Vietnamese within walking distance (basically P'tree and 10th) from there, in a nice setting, quiet too if it's as you say, early.
There's an egg noodles amd tofu dish there I could go for right now, with the obligatory rooster sauce of course. Mmm.
