Hey,

Lookin' for a new bike 'puter. Wouldn't mind having a HRM built in.

Recommendations? Must be sub $200 and sub $175 is even better.

A little pricey but the Garmin 305 and now the 605 are great, extremely accurate and easy to use

You can actually get Polars CS200 with CAD for around $145ish on ebay. It's a great computer and allows you to download the information to a web service from polar.

You might check out the Cateye CC-HR200DW. You can display speed, heart rate, ride time , and trip distance at the same time. It is cheaper than the Polar.

The microphone on your computer to upload data from the CS200 is a pain. It takes several attempts until it transfers data for me. Why didn't they design it with a USB cable?

Hmm.

For the bike puter/HRM that allow you to upload data....

Are they mac compatible?

I agree, uploading via microphone is a pain every now and then. More often than not I would have to try more than once.

Ummm, as far as I can see polar does not support Mac. I'm not sure if there is third party software that might support Mac.

Garmin 305 w HR/cad for $265 at Geoman is madness compared to others in that price range. For a bit more than you were thinking you get so much more than anything else at that level.

Apparently if you use a program called bootcamp you then can use polars weblink. Not sure if this is an option nor am I sure if that all you have to do. Wish I could help out more.
