Cadence, are you sure that's not a picture from the 70's? Nixon bowling? Bean bag? Panelling?

It is a sweet space. I would love to have something like that.

Well, here's my temporary shop in part of the garage. Too much shop, not enough riding......
Interesting thread fixed. See my CSI fixed in the background, nice ride.

You don't see any bikes. That is becuase I store them in the house when they are not in the Van. It is just too dusty in the shop. I do work on them in the shop but then I put everything away.

My next major improvement will be to modify my stand so I can put it into my woodworking vise.

I hope this works!

That does it, I'm checking into the Betty Ford clinic for tool addiction. One of these days I'm going to clean my shop and take a few shots, or maybe I'll die and the next person who owns the house will... Anyway, just to give you an idea, the shop space was priority #3 in buying the house (#2 was the gas grill and #1 was up to my wife - what was I thinking?). I had air lines plumbed into the house before all of the sinks worked. I've counted 18 sets of metric allen wrenches in there 'cause sometimes you just don't want to walk those extra 3 steps. There are only two bench vices mounted right now, but there are 4 down there, not including the work holding jigs in the machine shop. The bike shop bench has a built-in parts washer and a long list of bike specific tools including a number of prototype tools that came from the machine shop end of my shop. Somewhere in that mess is a 120 pound production truing stand I built from aluminum stock for a friend who started a wheel building company. If bridgeport ever built a truing stand, this would be what it looks like. On the other end of the shop is my welding/brazing bench with it's steel top and vent hood, then across from there I have the bench where most of my titanium work is done along with 4 grinder/buffer motors, 3 flex shaft tools, about 500 hand files (not including back-up stock), some strange custom cutting tools and work holding jigs, and a few drill bits. Across the basement there are wheels - lots of wheels. I raced for 15 years, coached for another 8 and worked in a bike shop for over 20, and for some reason I just can't get rid of my wheels. Maybe 20 sets and twice as many tires??? The bike collection is the only thing that's lacking - I really don't need or want that many bikes down there. I have a road bike, a track bike, a winter fixed gear and my lame attempt at a TT bike. Oh yeh, almost forgot - I have a case of duct tape.

I found some pictures of part of my shop... http://www.ti-designs.com/tidesigns.html#shop
