"smells like like a cross between WD40 and coconut."

How could it be bad and it's cheap enough to snort.

I like it. Inexpensive 10sp chains + inexpensive dry lube. Life is good.
Cheap lube at Lowe's (http://forums.thepaceline.net/showpost.php?p=561173&postcount=9)
Mail order works too... split a case w/ your friends (http://www.powersportsuperstore.com/Finish-Line-DUPONT-MULTIUSE-SPR-11-OZ-6-CS-SOLD-IN-p/tr44-0088.htm)
Another online source (http://www.powersportsuperstore.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=TR44-0087&click=6182)

It works great. I don't miss buying or using any of the boutique lubes. The drip bottle needs to be re-engineered. Pours out like a faucet. The spray works swell.

Every other ride on road bike. Every ride on mtn. bike. Only wonder about toxicity. Not about chain wear, shifting or spilling it. Keeps things clean in the arid west.

I used to get pure Teflon in a small syringe, supplied by DuPont. They quit making (or selling) that stuff years ago, but I bought up a bunch and have used it ever since. Best stuff going.

Our local Ace Hardware stocks it, too (read that as saying that if you can find it in Aptos, you can find it anywhere).

P.S. If you look at the bottle, you'll read that it's made for DuPont by Finish Line.

P.P.S. I like to set the can or bottle out in the sun to warm up the contents before application: they seem to flow (and penetrate) a little better afterwards. Still dries dry, too.
