Antibiotics

I've been prescribed an antibiotic (Cotrim DS) to take care of the urinary tract infection that I get about every 18 months. Cross season is moving into full swing and I'm in surprising good form. Will this stuff wreck my form? Anything else I need to know?

It shouldn't wreck your form as it doesn't have a catabolic (protein breakdown) effect like Tetracycline antibiotics can have. Some people get diarrhea or photosensitivity reactions but with the fall sun low in the sky and the winter rains starting here photosensitivity is even less likely to be a problem.Of course let your doctor know if you have any signs of an allergic reaction or other problem.

Take Culture Elle (OTC) while on antibiotics and you will have no stomach upset issues.

Just make certain you take the entire prescription. Not finishing antibiotics is why we are beginning to face resistant bugs...

And drink lots of water! :D
