this has been a question on my mind as well. I have heard people say "ser"wrotta (long o)", when i thought that the guy's name was ser"atta" (not to be confused with the taliban). It's not an Italian bike or anything so i don't think i should sweat the pronunciation, but i was curious what is correct.

It is pronounced:

Zero-TA (the TA should be louder and faster than the Zero)

Ah - now you got it grasshopper !

Actually, if you really really really want to find out .. Call them and see how the receptionist answers the phone. After he/she answers, tell them you were interested in one of them there Ot Rots and see if they will take a trade-in.

BBDave is on the mark with suh-rotta. sir-rotta won't get you any pronounciations corrections either. Don't you love it when you go to buy something and you ask a salesperson for it by name and they have to give you the correct pronounciation of it?

I have a friend that kept calling it as if it was spelled "Serota," with a long "oh" sound. I told him that generally a vowel followed by two consonants that are the same, will have the short sound. So to help him I told him the name of my bike - Carlotta.
