Congrats to Rutan and team.

Rutan has been and is in the forefront of developing the super material, carbon composites. Great to see a small team in the US reach the frontier.

Cost for one of those spaceships. More than all the Ottrott's built to date. But $250,000 should buy you a ticket to space in the next few years

Many Thanks MadRocketSci

I had the pleasure of meeting Burt Rutan an Oshkosh in the late 70s. I have such respect for his accomplishments. He is a brilliant designer who has done so much for aviation.

I have always wanted to build a Long EZ.

Paul Allen funds for 25 million total...ottrott costs what, about 7500?

25,000,000/7500 = 3333.3 ottrotts :) so looks like zap's right!

that's for the 1st one....to build another one would be cheaper. but still more than all the ottrotts ever built (how many are there, anyway?)

price for a seat on virgin galactic is under $200,000 according to richard branson

-cheers!
