Discovery debuts ecotainment channel

Ecotainment? I’m not sure what to make of it – is it primarily education, entertainment, or devious marketing?

I’m hoping in time “educational” programs like these can sway taxpayers into approving more dedicated bike paths beyond my immediate area. Maybe motorist will be a little more bike friendly as well.

I hope there is not a marketing motive behind it, or a bigger one then usual TV programing. With that said I think it could do some good to sway people to think a little more.
