I couldn't drag myself down to Seaside for the 8:30 kick-off, so I did my own little ride today. Since 1centaur has been kind enough to give us some puzzlers I have a couple. One's easy, the other I daresay obscure.

Challenge #1 is a set of three pictures of a little bridge on every scenic ride around the more southerly part of our fair county. Znfdl may recall it from the Tour du Bivalve extended edition, BruceK will know it for sure.

Challenge #2, the fourth picture, may be a tough one to guess, but I threw it in there because I think it's a pretty cool road. And it's not a dead end or someone's driveway! Hopefully we'll ride it on the next Tour.

That is the site of my very first road crash.

Hopefully, we can ride it again.

I do like the plaque that says "Here lies a piece of Bruce K"

That looks like the corner of Concord and Sumner in Gloucester with the bridge being over Walker Creek? If so, I'm psyched because I have never ridden there and just drove it on Saturday because the map made it look promising.

And of course the sign fortunately doesn't read the "Bruce K Memorial Bridge".

The last photo is on Winthrop Street, which borders Bradley Palmer state park.

Y'know Rick, I think you have something there with the dirt road idea.

Maybe this year's Tour du Bivalve should have Belcher St. in Essex or Pine St. in Manchester as part of the route as well.

That would make it a little more Ramble-like.

I also think, if we can work it out with Old School for parking at or near The Village so we can start and end there and then patronize the place would be a nice touch too.

Sounds like a good idea. Another road to add is Cutler, it runs from Highland over to 1A and has a nice stretch of dirt that borders Appleton Farm.

I have connections on Conomo Point, and I'm sure we could park there if The Village doesn't work out.

Dirt roads are a great idea for the TdB.

Cheers!
