KC Ride routes, north of the river

I'm visiting my parents for two weeks in June and I'm looking for rides north of the river, especially in north Liberty or Kearney. I'll have my old mountain bike with road slicks while I'm there.

Any suggestions or ideas? I grew up in the area so I somewhat know the area but I didn't do much cycling while I was living there.
