To make this one easy, I took three shots from the same spot, so you can see up the road, down the road, and to the side of the road.

and I took a shot from just south of that spot at a memorable view from a stop sign where you have to hit a tiny 10% ramp from a standing stop...

I also throw in this shot of a 14% ramp with the New Hampshire border just on the other side - first time I ever came around a corner and saw this I though, "oh-oh!"...

And finally, this shot should be familiar to those who cross to New Hampshire often - I have even seen the CCB armada on this road:

Sweet. Looks like Oregon to me....but I'm guessing I failed it.

No idea, even with the multiple points of reference!

Clue: In the northernmost 10% of today's ECV ride:

OK, a guess - Middle Street in West Newbury? I remember a spot with a field like that with a house at the top, just before a nice steep little hill.

That's a winner.

The 10% ramp is just 100 yards south of where I took the 3-way picture. If you are heading northeast on Middle Street, that stop sign (at Ash Street) and then instant short grind is pretty memorable. If heading southwest, you don't even think about it.

I was wondering while I was pedaling today.

Barry made it.

Where were the rest of you? ;)

That dude with his name on his Serotta can ride. Not much left in the tank when I finished, but great ride. THanks for posting, Bruce.

Moi? ;)

I'm gettin' there. You guys did just fine yourselves.

It was a wonderful day on the North Shore. Sun, light breezes, great company, and a varied route on some nice (and some not so nice) roads.

Maybe we'll see a few more folks on either the Tour du Cure, Pedal for Parkinson's, or the CRW North Shore ride.
